multistrip coupler [`mǝl·tǝ´strip `kǝp·lǝr] ELECTRONICS A series of parallel metallic strips placed on a surface acoustic wave filter between identical apodized interdigital transducers; it converts the spatially nonuniform surface acoustic wave generated by one transducer into a spatially uniform wave received at the other transducer, and helps to reject spurious bulk acoustic modes. |
