老年阶段的养生方法。《素问·上古天真论》认为：女子“七七，任脉虚，太冲脉衰少，天癸竭，地道不通，故形坏而无子也”，丈夫“八八，则齿发去”，故49～64岁阶段是天癸尽而“五脏皆衰，筋骨解堕”“发鬓白，身体重，行步不正”的时期。老年阶段不但肾气衰竭，且五脏皆衰，故得当调理，防止老年病、延缓衰老至关重要。当前，中国对老年人的年龄界限为超过60岁即为老年人。
