磁子为中介的电流拖拽效应
在核心结构为重金属/磁性绝缘层/重金属的三明治结构中，两层重金属层被磁性绝缘层隔离，当其中一侧重金属层通入电流，可在另一侧重金属层中诱导出与该电流强度成正比的电流的现象。若两层重金属的自旋霍尔角符号相同，则感生电流的方向与通入电流方向相反。若两层重金属的自旋霍尔角符号相反，则感生电流的方向与通入电流方向相同。
