中国南方秋季冷空气侵入引起显著降温使水稻减产的一种低温冷害。在长江流域一般称为秋季低温，在两广和福建一带因正值寒露节气前后，故称为寒露风。北方一季稻区夏末初秋也偶有发生，统称水稻低温冷害。主要影响水稻花粉发育、扬花授粉和灌浆成熟，增加空秕粒，降低产量，有时甚至造成大面积失收。
