人工灌溉耕种条件下形成的具有水耕表层和水耕氧化还原层的土壤。在全国第二次土壤普查分类（1988）中，列为人为土土纲、水稻土亚纲、水稻土土类；在中国土壤系统分类（2001）中，列为人为土纲、水耕人为土亚纲；在日本土壤分类中，也有水稻土类型，并按水型或起源土壤续分；在美国土壤系统分类（1999）中，无水稻土名称，根据水分状况、利用方式在土壤低级分类单元中表达；在世界土壤资源参比基础（2014）中，采纳了中国的分类，也将其划分成水耕人为土。
