尾矿中的含铝硅酸盐矿物颗粒表面在溶液中的Ca2+、OH-、SO42-和水共同作用下，形成极低溶解度的钙矾石类复盐，使含铝硅酸盐矿物颗粒表面与溶液中可溶铝之间的溶解平衡被打破，加速含铝硅酸盐中铝的溶解，并且加速铝氧四面体从硅（铝）氧四面体的聚合体中解离出来，促使解聚的硅氧四面体与铝氧四面体再重新聚合，加快尾矿中含铝硅酸盐矿物颗粒参与水化胶凝反应的现象。
