球囊菌门真菌侵染植物根系形成的共生体系。是分布范围最广、与农业生产关系最为密切的内生菌根类型。此类菌根在根系皮层细胞内形成“丛枝”（arbuscules）结构。除此之外，大多数该类真菌还能在根系皮层形成“泡囊”（vesicles）结构，故得名。由于部分真菌种类不在根内产生泡囊，故通常简称丛枝菌根（arbuscular mycorrhiza，AM）。
