表土可溶盐含量小于5克/千克、交换性钠占阳离子交换量30%以上、pH9以上的土壤。在中国土壤分类暂行草案（1978）及全国第二次土壤普查（1988）中，列为盐成土纲碱土土类；在中国土壤系统分类（2001）中，列为碱积盐成土[注]；在美国土壤系统分类中，部分相当于各土纲中具有钠质特性的土类；在联合国世界土壤资源参比基础（2013）中，部分相当于碱土[注]。
