回复突变
突变体(mutant)经过第二次突变又恢复为原来野生型的表型。第二次突变又分两种情况：一种是真正的回复突变，这是由于突变体的碱基顺序经第二次突变后又变为原来的碱基顺序，使其表型恢复到野生型；另一种情况是野生型表型的恢复是由于第二次突变发生在另一部位上，称为抑制突变，它可抑制第一次突变的作用，使其恢复原来的表型。如果第二次突变是发生在同一基因内，那么所产生的变化称为第二位点恢复或基因内抑制作用。所以回复子的表型似乎是野生型，但是原来的DNA序列并没有恢复。
