稀土元素
元素周期表ⅢB族中原子序数为21、39和57～71的17种化学元素的总称。稀土元素的化学符号用RE代表。又称稀土金属。包括钪Sc、钇Y、镧La、铈Ce、镨Pr、钕Nd、钷Pm、钐Sm、铕Eu、钆Gd、铽Tb、镝Dy、钬Ho、铒Er、铥Tm、镱Yb、镥Lu。其中57～71号元素称为镧系元素，位于元素周期表最下方的f区。从镧到铕为铈组（轻稀土），从钆到镥及钇为钇组（重稀土）。
