人脑中负责加工和处理视觉刺激基本特征的脑皮质。位于布罗德曼17区，枕叶内侧面距状沟上下侧的皮质内，延伸至枕极。因为在新鲜标本上，初级视觉皮质（V1皮质）可见到明暗相间的条纹，故又称纹状皮质。
