南亚热带高温高湿条件下，土壤富铁铝化作用介于砖红壤与红壤之间的酸性至强酸性红色土壤。曾称砖红壤性红壤。在中国土壤分类系统（1998）中，列为湿热铁铝土亚纲、铁铝土土纲；在中国土壤系统分类（2001）中，为湿润铁铝土、湿润富铁土、湿润淋溶土或湿润雏形土；在美国土壤系统分类（1999）中，大致相当于湿润老成土、湿润淋溶土或湿润始成土；在世界土壤资源参比基础（2014）中，大致相当于低活性强酸土、低活性淋溶土、聚铁网纹土或雏形土等。
