关键词识别（keyword spotting，KWS）是指能够在连续语音信号中区别和肯定表达其话语中关键信息的少量特定词。关键词识别包括关键词检出和关键词确认两个基本步骤。关键词确认，主要是判定输入的语音信号是否是假定的语音关键词，即在连续语音的关键词识别过程中，首先由关键词检出技术从语音流中检测出尽可能多的候选关键词，再通过关键词确认技术对这些候选关键词进行置信度评估和确认，从而明确它是否包括在待识别的连续语音信号中。
